5 Cheap Countries College Students Should Explore This Summer
Once summer comes around you should do something special. Join the rest of the college kids who throw as much as they can into a backpack and go traveling for a few months. It will be the greatest time of your life and you will learn so much about yourself before you start the new year. You might not get a chance to do it after college when you are competing for that all important job in a company you have your eye on.
If you’re worried about money then you shouldn’t be. After you buy your flight, which will be your biggest expense, you can live cheaply in a lot of places. In some countries the dollar goes a long way. You can find these types of countries all over the world. The cultures will be completely different to anything you have experienced before and you get to hang out with likeminded travelers from every corner of the world. Want to know where these magical countries are?
India is still one of the cheapest and most exciting places to travel in the world. You will see stuff you have probably only dreamed about. It’s the only place I know where you can still travel the length of the country surfing on the top of a bus. The people you meet will be some of the nicest people on earth. The food you try will be the most delicious. The country is absolutely gigantic and ranges from the mountains in the north to the beaches in the south. There’s plenty of amazing attractions to see everywhere you go.
They say that some of the best parties can be found in Brazil. You can relax on the beautiful white sandy beaches or even go trekking through the Amazon Rainforest. Luckily it’s only a cheap flight away and it’s going to be a lot cheaper than visiting the beaches of Southern Europe. If you jump on a bus you can explore the beaches around the coast and find some special places that most travelers don’t know about.
Greece is a beautiful country and home to some beautiful islands. People like to grab some camping gear together and hop around the islands camping on each one. Summer is definitely the best time to come where it’s hot every single day. If you decide to venture into the cities they are still a lot cheaper than most of the ones you will find in Europe. They have beautiful sites to explore that I’m sure you’ve heard about from your studies of ancient Greece.
The most popular island for travelers in Bali. The island is tiny and if you rent a motorbike you can drive around it at a slow pace stopping anywhere you want. They have historical towns with lovely temples and rice paddies, or if you prefer beach life they have some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. It’s a great place to surf and has some fantastic waves, as well as a huge amount of surf schools where you can learn for next to nothing.
There’s not many places like Croatia. It’s in Eastern Europe and quite cheap compared to other countries, yet you wouldn’t know it from looking at it. The towns and buildings are wonderful and always exciting to explore. You can take boat trips and explore all the islands while having parties every night with your fellow travelers. If you’d like to see any of the other European cities you are only a cheap ride away on a train. But you’ll probably not want to leave Croatia.
