AFCON 2013 appoints SA Travel Centre as the official travel agents
The Orange Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Local Organising Committee (LOC) and South African Travel Centre (SATC) have teamed up to make it easier and more enjoyable for soccer fans to attend the forthcoming 29th AFCON football tournament.
The much anticipated biennial soccer jamboree is taking place in South Africa from 19th January until the 10th February 2013.
The LOC has appointed SATC as the official travel agents for the tournament, and as of today, football fans in South Africa and the continent as well as participating nations can buy travel packages for the tournament.
“The packages include airfare, accommodation, car rental as well as a Category 1 match ticket – which allows fans the best viewing positions in the various world-class stadia,” says Bulelwa Koyana Chief Executive Officer of SATC.
All in all, 16 African nations will be participating in the tournament, which will be hosted in the following cities: Johannesburg, Rustenburg, Mbombela (Nelspruit), Durban and Nelson Mandela Bay (Port Elizabeth).
Koyana says the travel packages are tailor made to suit the demanding needs of travelling football fans.
“This is not just another way to attract football fans to tour our beautiful country, it is also meant to allow these fans to enjoy quality accommodation and transportation while attending the games,” Koyana added.
