Europcar – Putting customers first.  Always.

It is Europcar’s ongoing culture of consistent improvement and the notion of putting ‘customers first’ that is engrained in the company’s ethos.  With this in mind, Europcar is proud to announce its new brand positioning of ‘Moving Your Way’.  The new brand promise reflects the company’s outlook of shaping the future of mobility together with a focused commitment to its customers.

“The new positioning, which is being rolled out globally, translates our commitment to accompany the mobility needs of our customers during their whole life.  Through ‘Moving Your Way’ our diversified travel solutions provide our customers with more freedom and allows them to rediscover the pleasures and emotions of the travel experience,” says Dawn Nathan Jones, CEO of Europcar South Africa.

Through this new brand promise, Europcar is drawing on its many years of experience to explore new ways of providing comprehensive mobility solutions to its customers that offer real flexibility, are easy to access, are environmentally-friendly, seamless and cost effective.

Nathan Jones reiterates the sentiments of this new brand promise; “We’ve come a long way with the brand in South Africa since becoming Europcar in 2009.  We have been able to consistently strengthen our brand positioning while operating in one of the most competitive car rental markets in the world.  We understand that customer needs are evolving and through our new brand positioning; however you choose to move, whatever way, methods and direction or style, Europcar promises to move with you.”

A continued focus on the environment

Global winner of the first World Travel Award and recognised as the World’s Leading Green Transport Solutions Company in 2010 and 2011, Europcar is committed to sustainability and sees it as a business imperative.  Demonstrating its ongoing focus on sustainability, Europcar was again the lead sponsor of Green Office Week South Africa, an initiative which seeks to increase the adoption of sustainable policies and behaviour by companies and individuals in the workplace.

As part of its 33 year celebrations, Europcar has committed to planting 33 indigenous trees as part of a reforestation project in Hermanus in the Western Cape.

“Sustainability for us goes beyond just our own internal sustainability drives.  We are dedicated to encouraging others to take the small steps that collectively combined have a significant impact on a whole range of issues, from energy consumption and reduced carbon and waste footprints, to improved working environments, with greater worker ‘ownership’ of greening initiatives and consequent improved productivity,” concludes Nathan-Jones.
