extrabold appoints Brent Kinnear as new Commercial Director

The appointment of Brent Kinnear as its new Commercial Director is an exciting development for the company. Brent began his career in 1995 at TNT International Express where he spent his formative years honing his skills dedicated to delivering value added solutions to his customers. Thereafter, he joined Imperial Car Rental as National Sales Manager where he was privileged to be part of the company’s transformation process into the successful global brand it is today, namely Europcar. During his nine (9) years with the company, most recently in the position of General Manager Corporate, Brent’s understanding of and enthusiasm for the hospitality industry grew enormously and this passion combined with his unique skills set will undoubtedly be an asset to extrabold in the coming years.
Outperforming his competition and consistently exceeding the strategic expectations of his peers over recent years was primarily due to his ability to recruit, mentor and retain unique people with shared values. He expects all his staff to share in customer centricity, foster customer relationships over the long term, value industry partner relationships and have mutual respect for each other.
Successfully completing his IMM Graduate School of Marketing, Master of Business Management and Bachelor of Business Administration, Brent’s leadership style is transparent, what you see is what you get, does not do office politics and truly cares about mentoring his staff in order to allow them to bring out their best by achieving goals they may have thought were not possible.
Brent is understandably excited to focus on the challenges and opportunities at extrabold “although we’re very happy with where extrabold lies in the marketplace, we will be looking to exponentially improve and increase our foothold. My focus is on taking more new and existing hotel and resort properties under our wing and helping them to achieve even greater success in serving the dynamic South African hospitality market”.
At home, Brent is a proud father of very energetic twin boys and is a keen F1 fan. In quieter moments, he enjoys cultivating his bonsai collection set in a pristinely tended Japanese-style garden.
