Hotel Izulu appoints new Executive Chef, unveils new menu

The 5-star Hotel Izulu, situated in Ballito on the North Coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal, within a convenient driving distance from King Shaka International Airport, is proud to present its new Executive Chef and multiple new dining options complemented by its many eco initiatives for 2013.

Executive Chef, Tyrone Sumner, now heads up the kitchen team at Gigi’s Brasserie and will soon unveil the new menu for not only the Brasserie but will also redesign the room service, banqueting and wedding menus to offer a fresh culinary journey at Hotel Izulu.

The restaurant continues to enjoy the benefits of its extensive organic herbs and vegetables grown on the property, all the meat used is from free-range farms and certified hormone free and all chocolate used is sourced from organic producers. Bread is made daily on the property using only organic flour.

Hotel Izulu is recognised as one of the most eco-aware Hotels in South Africa and makes it a priority to implement further eco-initiatives to add to its existing long list of ‘eco-credits’ The Hotel has introduced new energy monitoring procedures, recycled paper for all its stationary as well as eco-friendly laundry and cleaning products.  They have found that their efforts are appreciated by guests when looking for a greener Hotel.

Guests at Hotel Izulu are able to unwind in the award-winning Impilo Spa where they are treated with healthier, natural products rather than chemical based cream and oils, which will leave them feeling fresh and relaxed.
