Knysna Tourism hosts Annual General Meeting
Knysna Tourism’s Board of Directors invites all members of the organisation to attend the 2012 Annual General Meeting, preceded by a workshop on capitalising on the lucrative Indian market. Knysna Tourism CEO, Shaun van Eck explained that the AGM affords members to meet prospective new board members and vote for the representatives of their choice. “There is a vacancy on the current board which we hope to fill at the AGM,” he explained.
“Knysna Tourism staff members will provide our members with information regarding the organisation’s performance during the last year,” said van Eck. “Members are also invited to submit any questions or matters for discussion to be tabled under the General section of the agenda by writing to the Board of Directors at the office of Knysna Tourism, 40 Main Road, Knysna, 6571. Submissions should reach our offices by no later than 16:00 on 28 May 2012.”
“As an added extra for our members, South African Tourism will present an exciting workshop on one of our largest foreign growth markets – India. The last few months have seen considerable growth in the number of visitors from this market to our beautiful town,” continued van Eck. “This market is very specific in their needs and this workshop is sure to provide you with invaluable information and tips on meeting those needs and reaping the benefits of this fast-growing market.”
The AGM and workshop will both take place at The Premier Hotel Knysna, The Moorings, on 31 May 2012. The workshop starts at 16:15, while the AGM is scheduled for 17:30 for 18:00.
