LekkeSlaap.co.za attracts 50,000 facebook fans since launching
LekkeSlaap.co.za has passed the 50 000 LIKE mark on Facebook in less than six months after its launch. LekkeSlaap.co.za was launched as South Africa’s first and only Afrikaans online accommodation booking site in March this year, and has gone from strength to strength since.
The eCommerce website has quickly proved themselves a force to be reckoned with and is currently processing thousands of booking requests every month. “We are so proud, not only to have received so many likes from our Afrikaans following, but also to be able to show conclusively that Afrikaans should claim a proud place on the internet”, says LekkeSlaap’s Marketing Manager Denise Neethling. Neethling continues by saying “we knew we were onto something special when our first booking came in just hours after launch, but our growth since then has astounded even ourselves. As our growth on Facebook demonstrates, the Afrikaans community is desperate to do business in their own language.”
Of course LekkeSlaap.co.za‘s success is not only because they service the under-catered Afrikaans community online, but also because of an emphasis on friendly, fast, and convenient service. This emphasis was inherited from its sister website TravelGround.com, winner of Best Design, Standards and Ease of Use at the 2012 eCommerce Awards.
So what’s next? With 50 000 now in the rear view mirror, the staff at LekkeSlaap.co.za all have their heads down in anticipation of a bumper 2013 Summer-holiday season.
