Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts hosts roadshow for SA trade

Delegates from Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, one of the world’s premier hotel groups, will be in South Africa to showcase 15 luxury properties to representatives from the South African incentive, PCO and group travel trade. The Shangri-La delegation includes marketing, sales, hotel managers and destination experts from China, Turkey, Singapore and the Middle East.

Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts’ travel marts will be held in the following cities:

  • Johannesburg: 15 and 16 October 2013
  • Cape Town: 16 and 17 October 2013.

At each roadshow, participants will have the opportunity to preview select properties and the thrilling destinations where they are based.

  • In Beijing: China World Summit Wing; China World Hotel; Shangri-La Hotel, Beijing and Kerry Hotel, Beijing
  • In Hong Kong: Island Shangri-La and Kowloon Shangri-La
  • In Singapore: Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore; Shangri-La’s Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa; and Traders Hotel, Singapore.
  • In Turkey: Shangri-La Bosphorus, Istanbul
  • In Abu Dhabi and Dubai: Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai and the Traders Hotels in Abu Dhabi and Dubai

Inspired by the legendary land featured in James Hilton’s novel Lost Horizon, the name Shangri-La encapsulates the serenity and service for which Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts is renowned. These signature qualities are shared at more than 80 Shangri-La properties that stretch across 18 countries.

Shangri-La also manages two other brands. Kerry Hotels are designed to appeal to business travellers who prefer a vibrant and relaxed environment without compromising on service or quality. Introduced in 1989, Traders is the four-star brand of mid-priced city centre hotels consisting of 15 hotels in Abu Dhabi, Beijing, Changzhou, Dubai, Hong Kong, Johor, Kuala Lumpur, Male, Manila, Penang, Singapore, Shenyang, Yangon and Brisbane.
